Sanation of damp walls

The technical term „sanation“ refers to recovery.
Older objects, but sometimes quite new ones may suffer from dysfunctional waterproofing. The waterproofing course may run out of its useful life, or there may be no originally installed waterproofing at all. That is why sanation of damp walls and building water proofing form an inseparable and important part of the building industry. It is necessary to recover damp and unhealthy buildings.

Mechanical method

Cutting through the wall allows for space to be filled by insulation preventing thus dampness from rising further into the structure. This method is preconditioned by a structural analysis to assure for structural safety of the building.

Advantages:

  • 100 % elimination of dampness
  • Long-term quarantees
  • High quality of materials applied
  • Instant stopping of dampness seeping

6. Realization of external liquid insulation
7. Application of hardened polystyrene for insulation of the underground section
8. Installation of the drainage on the bottom of the excavation
9. Backfill of the excavation with gravel

Chemical injection

The essence of the method
Creation of a water-proof barrier forms the essence of injection methods, i.e. a barrier of chemical substance injected into drilled openings in the damp wall structure. Injection mixture in the drill holes sets by a chemical process to create a so called water-proof curtain curbing dampness. Injection mixtures are applied by infusion method (pressurelessly or by hydrostatic pressure).

Advantages:

  • minimum space necessary
  • application in various spaces
  • acceptable for heritage objects

In some special cases (concerning mainly underground spaces of heritage buildings etc.) it is necessary to employ so called  „chemical raster injection“. Being the same system in principle, but opposed to typical chemical injections which are applied close above floor level this system is realized throughout the whole wall surface i.e. applied in a raster.

Liquid insulation

Liquid insulation systems rank among most widely used systems of insulation of the base structures. There are many quality materials (EPASIT, Schomburg, Mapei, Xypex, BASF), predisposed for realization of quality water-proofing by the character of their composition.

Sanation plastering

Special surface tretments – sanation plastering – are common means of sanation methods.
The typical property of sanation plastering is a high content of pores in their structure 3-4 times higer as opposed to common lime cement plaster. It means that they are highly vapour permeable and have markedly reduced capillary absorbability. In our sanation systems we use high quality sanation plastering manufactured according to WTA Regulation.

Sanation of floor tiling and wall tiling

Our company provides insulation protection of:
Balconies and terraces against water seeping while preserving the original floor and wall tiles, against moss formation, against algae in the pools, pollution of monuments, statues, window sills and conservatories, production hall floors and frontgardens.
